Whether you are a student, a blogger, a writer, or post several times on social media sites the Grammarly APP for Chrome will save you time and embarrassment when it comes to grammar and punctuation.  Grammarly checks and corrects your spelling and grammar and helps prevent plagiarism for writers which according to some could help some of the people when writing speeches for others during the political campaigns.

NAME: Grammarly (grammarly.com)

WHAT IT IS: The app bills itself as “the world’s most accurate grammar checker.”

COMPATIBLE WITH: Firefox, Chrome and Safari browsers

HOW MUCH: Free; premium edition from $11.66 a month

What’s great about Grammarly is that you don’t have to be a writer or student to use it. Once you download the extension you can use it whenever you write on the Internet, Word, eMails and other places.

Add Grammarly to your browser, next just create a free account with an email address and it will scan your web writing for five different elements – contextual spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and style – in real time. (You can always turn any of these elements on or off).

Grammarly will mark your mistakes or words with green or red lines. Once you hover your mouse over the underlined word Grammarly will make a suggestion on how to correct this.

You can easily choose to correct or ignore the mistake but with Grammarly you can fix it right away by choosing the proper meaning instead of going back later to find what you might have missed.

Grammarly also allows you to Double-click on any word to see synonym suggestions.

Choose Grammarly to browse the Web and double-click on any word to see the definition of the word.

Grammarly for Chrome is a free browser extension that brings the grammar-checking power of Grammarly right to you, wherever you write online. Whenever you compose a new comment, tweet, Facebook status, email, blog post, or anything else online, our browser extension will check your text for spelling and grammatical errors. Anytime you are writing in a comment field, Grammarly flags potential mistakes and allows you to review them one by one (by hovering your mouse over the text) or all at once (by opening a pop-up window).
