Why You Should Use the Free Grammarly App to Improve Your Writing Skills
Using the Grammarly APP Have you ever read a book, blog, article or something online that makes you think “That article (blog, book) could be so much better if they would have just…..”
Most blogs, communications, emails, term papers and other items are written in a rush. In a perfect world we would have someone to read all of are written documents before we send them in order to prevent typos, grammatical errors and other mistakes.
One of the best ways to overcome your spelling or grammar errors is use the free Google Chrome APP called Grammarly.
Grammarly works well for writing newsletters, blogs, mid-term papers, emails, and even Facebook posts. Just run your written item through Grammarly and it checks your spelling, grammar and does a few more things to help assist you in getting the best results for your writing.
One of the most valuable tools to writers is the the plugin from Grammarly that will check your Twitter and Facebook posts before you publish them.
Best Plagiarism Checker & Proofreader
If you don’t have the budget or time for a proofreader and while spell checkers are in most Word programs there are times we can use all the help we can get by getting additional grammar and correctional tools.
You don’t have to be a linguist or a grammarian to ensure your post is rid of grammar and spelling errors.
Fortunately, free tools exist today to help you. Grammarly is one of those tools.
The browser version of Grammarly shows up whenever you write. This includes your Gmail account, Facebook, Twitter, Blogger and WordPress. It works well when you blog and also for your social media. This means you never have to send a tweet with a spelling/grammar mistake again.
What You Can Do with Grammarly:
- Grammarly will check if you have used the right word in the right context.
- Grammarly checks actual grammar mistakes.
- Grammarly will provide you with the meaning/definition of words if you double click it.
The plugin has both a free version and a premium version you need to pay for. Personally, I think that with the free version alone you already have a big advantage. The free version has already all the features that you will need to write better everyday.
There is also a Windows version that works on your desktop. This version works well for when you want to edit larger documents. You simply import them into the program and edit them in the same way.
How to Install Grammarly:
Grammarly is a Chrome plugin, you start with opening Google Chrome. In the top right corner of your browser, there is a menu. Click it the menu and go to more tools and then extensions and search for the Grammarly APP.
How to Use Grammarly:
Once you install the Grammarly APP, it will have a green button in the right corner of your browser.
If you write you will get a button in the right bottom corner. It will be green when you have no mistakes. When it detects a mistake, the button will turn red and have a number on it for the number of mistakes.
Next you have two options:
- You can click the red underlined word and it will tell you why it is registered as a mistake. You can then either click the right option when given any, or it will say “correct in Grammarly” and a small red arrow.
- You can also open the editor from the beginning. (You do this by pressing the Grammarly button in the corner of your text box.) Once you are done, you can simply close the editor and the text will be edited in the original text field.
Grammarly makes writing more efficient, and easy to correct old blog posts, edit term-papers, write books for self-published authors, send emails, create great Twitter and Facebook posts and more. Grammarly was very helpful to me when it came to cleaning up old blog posts and editing books that I publish on Amazon Kindle.
