Retro Crochet Shawl Wrap Pattern – Shawl with Pockets to Crochet
Free Crochet Pattern for a retro crochet shawl or wrap that has pockets. Crochet using worsted weight yarn or a lighter weight yarn for warmer months. Th is pattern is a great way to create a beautiful shawl wrap with pockets in any color yarn you prefer.

Materials Needed
Worsted Weight Yarn approximately 4 Skeins
Crochet Hook Size K
Gauge 3 dc = 1″
Crochet Shawl Wrap Pattern
Start the Pattern for the Crochet Wrap with Pockets by Ch 253
Row 1: DC in 4th ch from hook, dc across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2 thru 13: Working in back lps only: dc in each dc across, ch 3, turn. Fasten off after Row 13.
Row 14: Count 64 dc from each end, place a stitch marker. Working in back lps only: attach yarn in dc with marker, sc in same dc, hdc, dc, * sc, dc hdc, dc, rep from * to 3rd dc from next marker, hdc, sc, ch 1 turn.
Row 15: Working in back lps only: sc in sc, hdc in hdc, dc in dc, dc in each st across, ending with hadc in last dc, sc in last hdc, ch1, turn.
Row 16: SK sc, sc in next hdc, hdc in next dc, dc in dc, and dc in each st across, ending with hdc in last dc, sc in last hdc, ch 1, turn.
Rows 17-19 Rep Rows 15 and 16 alternately. At the end of Row 19, ch 3, turn.
Rows 20 thru 37: Dc in sc, dc in hdc and dc in each dc across, ending with dc in hdc, dc in sc, ch3, turn. (at end of Row 37, ch 1, turn).
Row 38: Sc in 1st dc, hdc in next dc, dc in each dc across to last 2 dc, hdc in next dc, sc in last dc, ch 1, turn.
Row 39: Sc in hdc, sc in next dc, hdc in next 2 dc, dc in each dc across to 2nd dc from end, hdc in next 2 st, sc in last 2 st, ch 1, turn.
Rows 40 thru 48: Sc in next 2 hdc, hdc in next 2 dc, dc in each dc across to last 4 st, hdc in next 2 st, sc in next 2 st, ch 1, turn. Fasten off after Row 48.
Finishing
At narrow end strips, turn up each end 7:; fasten with pins. Attach yarn at one end of piece.
Row 1: Working through two thicknesses: sc in each dc around from neck, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: * Ch 3, sk 1 sc, sc in next sc, rep from * around, ch 4 turn.
Row 3: * Sc in center of ch-3 lp, ch 4, rep * around. Fasten off.
Work same edging on the outside edge of the shawl.
