The shawl can be crocheted with a lightweight yarn. Color of your choice – The suggested yarn is Berroco® Vintage® DK Lightweight yarn.

The shawl can easily be crocheted for a gift but you may just want to make one for yourself in addition to making one for a gift for that special someone.  While this is an intermediate pattern the reviewers state that it is well written and easy to follow. The pattern can be crocheted in your favorite yarn in any color you may need to make a few adjustments and size it accordingly if you do make changes.

Named for a quaint little town in County Clare on the West Coast of Ireland, this beautiful shawl incorporates several elements of Irish crochet in the body pattern and elegant borders. Model is made using 6 hanks of Berroco® Vintage® DK Lightweight yarn. Finished measurements: stole: 17″ x 77″; back: 21″ x 25″. Previously published in Crochet! Winter 2013.
